Meet Kim Bories, a Reimbursement Coordinator, here at ProHealth Pharmacy Solution.
She is our Employee of the Month winner for January 2021.

Q: Tell us something about yourself that would surprise us.

A: Before starting with medical billing 17 years ago, I retired after ten years working as a Court Reporter and Probations Clerk at the 40th District Court in Michigan. I was lucky enough to start working there right after high school and worked my way up the ladder with hard work and determination. Although it seems unrelated, it taught me that you can be firm while still providing good customer service.

 

Q: How would I define success?

A: Well, I think it’s more than just meeting goals. I think success is being able to look back and be happy with the choices you’ve made and how you’ve gotten to where you are.

 

Q: What do you like most about working for ProHealth Pharmacy Solutions?

A: Because of our growth and how we are taking on new clients, the job doesn’t stay the same. I like the challenge that brings because there’s always something else to learn.

 

Q: What are some of the ways you provide exemplary patient service?

A: I try to put myself in the patient’s shoes. I know that many of them are going through a difficult time. Being in this position means that I can’t always tell the patient’s what they want to hear, but I can always treat our patients as though they are family.

Q: What do you do when you are not at work?

A: When I’m not at work, I enjoy reading and spending time with my husband and daughter, as well as our Boston Terrier puppy. We love traveling, and we like doing day trips whenever possible. We have family in Michigan, South Carolina & Texas, but no family in Florida, so we try to visit them as often as we can.

 

Q: What’s your favorite part of your job and the biggest challenge?

A: I enjoy being able to see the claim through to the end, and although things don’t always initially go as planned, I like being able to troubleshoot the more challenging cases. It’s very satisfying when I’m able to see our efforts pay off.
